Visitors to Historic Downtown Kilgore enjoy visiting the “World’s Richest Acre” commemorated with steel oil derricks topped with stars on the site of where over 2.5 million barrels of oil was discovered. They can also visit historic sites, homes, and the old train depot to look back into Kilgore’s thrilling past.

Historic Downtown Kilgore is still booming with unique boutiques, local restaurants, and art deco architecture reminiscent of the oil boom period. The mix of restaurants truly provides an authentic culinary experience within the district.
